This is the Ultimate Green Smoothie that naturopaths and nutritionists enjoy for breakfast. Primarily full of alkaline vegetables, this ultimate green smoothie is perfectly balanced with a little sweetness from fruit, antioxidants from fresh herbs, digestive support from iced herbal tea all while keeping you satiated with good levels of healthy fats and protein.
Alkaline | Paleo | Dairy Free | Gluten Free |
1 handful of baby spinach
1 handful of lettuce leaves
½ zucchini, chopped or grated
¼ carrot, chopped or grated
Juice of ½ lemon
1-2 cm of ginger, to taste
½ cup of frozen pineapple &/or frozen banana
3-5 basil or mint leaves
½ cup of BBN Digestion Tea (cooled or frozen into icescubes)
Extra Tea or water
1. Place all ingredients into a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Add extra tea/water until desired consistency is achieved.

We love to add our BBN tea to our smoothies. Simply make up a pot of tea, strain and keep in the fridge to be added to smoothies instead of water. You can even freeze the tea into ice cubes and add to your smoothie when blending.
You really can’t go wrong experimenting with smoothies. Try a combination of whatever you have on hand and have fun with the different flavours!
We like to prepare a ‘batch’ of smoothies at once: chop all ingredients and place in airtight containers or bags, and then freeze. Let this defrost in the fridge overnight and just add the liquid in the morning when blending.
