This immune boosting smoothie is packed full of antivirals, vitamin C and powerful antioxidants, all of which strengthen the body’s natural defences and are vital in immunity. Vitamin C has been shown to shorten wound healing and also recovery time of the common cold and pneumonia.

1 cup pureed pumpkin
1 frozen banana
1/2tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp flaxseed meal
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 oranges (peeled and segmented)
1 tbsp Manuka honey
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Add additional liquid as needed to get desired consistency.
No pureed pumpkin, used steamed sweet potato instead
